Sam,
Don't know if I missed something or not here, but have you had an ultrasound -
is that how they determined there were cysts? Just to let you know, my AFP did
not pick up Jessica's t18 - it did however show a "normal" chance for t21
because of my age - 1:130. If that makes any sense. Personally, if I had it
to do I would skip the AFP and request a level 2 u/s - if that shows anything
then decided if you want to take it further. Again, this is just my opinion,
based on the bad results I had and all the warnings of how the test can give
false positives.
Just remember, you have two healthy boys that you delivered. So why not this
time!
