[tri-wings] Re: tri-wings Digest V1 #356

Hi Nancy - thanks for your note. We were at the U of A with Alex. The
staff there were amazing. Its nice to hear from someone close to home. Do
you find the communication on this list helpful at all? I would love to
hear the details of your experience. Since I've been researching I"ve
found many stories where doctors were willing to perform interventions on
T13 and T18 babies. I never felt that our doctors felt that was an option
for Alex.

Hi Melissa,

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Alexandria is such a beautiful name! My
name is Nancy and I live close to Edmonton. My son, Oliver, was born June
5, 2000 at home. He had trisomy 13 as well. We took him to the NICU at the
Royal Alex hospital. Is that where you were? I'm sorry you had to be so
far from home. That must have made things especially difficult. My son
lived for 15 days.

I look forward to talking to you more. You can email me offlist as well (if
you like) as I'm not too good at keeping up with list traffic, but I'll try
to watch for you! :)
