Tracey,
I'm finding out what all of you have been talking about for the last
7 years. I had gastric by-pass surgery on Aug. 26th. Due to the
other things that are in my health history and the number of meds
that I take, they chose to insert a g-tube into my former stomach to
allow my new pauch stomach time to heal. The g-tube should be
removed within 8 weeks. My old stomach only is getting water to
flush the tube and the meds. All of my 2 oz. of food per meal go
into my new stomach. One ounce of protein, 1/2 oz of starch, and 1/2
oz of fruits or vegetables. I am on a 6 meal a day diet for now,
and I'm not hungry.

But, for all of the moms of children with g-tubes - mine hurts where
it enters the skin. Not just a little. It is the most pain that I'm
experiencing. So double check with your doctors to make sure that
your child is not hurting.
