[tri-wings] Re: [tri-family] Please pray for this family

Maya,
I am so sorry to hear this news from your friend. I wish them the
best, and of course, will keep them in my prayers. I do hope that
"someone" has given them some advice that the "medical experts" do
not always have the best or most recent information. Please share
our concerns for Libby, but also for their family.

On Wednesday afternoon we were informed by the doctor that Libby has
a very serious chromosomal condition called Trisomy 18. . . Since I
was still in Fargo in the hospital recovering from delivery, I was
told over the phone by the doctor here at Children's Hospital. . .

The doctor said that she is too small and fragile and that if we
chose to go ahead with doing surgeries, it is very unlikely she would
survive them. The doctor's recommendation at this point is doing
comfort care. . . we want Max to make the trip here so he can meet
his baby sister.

We are just trying to trust God, our hearts, and the medical
professional's advice. . . If there was any inkling that medical
interventions could save her, then we would absolutely pursue that.

Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Teresa, Jay, Max, and Libby Kathleen
