A couple of years ago I had that happen. I had an abscess in a tooth that had 
a crown on it. I suffered through the weekend and by the time I went to the 
dentist he had to drill through the crown and do a root canal. The good thing 
was, all the pain was from the nerve dying and I did not need novacaine   for 
the procedure because the nerve was already dead. I hope he fixes it quickly. 
Tooth pain is lke having a baby.
