Trisha,
I feel so bad for your situation! Does your OB know that you are
being treated like this or is this common treatment from the whole staff?
My OB's are wonderful as is most of the staff. When I started going there
in July, there was a really rude, mean receptionist and one of the nurses
was not so patient friendly either. I didn't deal with the office during
the month of November and some of December, but when I did go back those
two were gone. The OB's found out the way they were treating the patients
and fired them! Anyway-
I would walk into that office and demand to be seen! This is your
body and if something is going on, you don't want to ruin your chances of
future children. You know your body best, and if the pain is not going
away then you need to fight until someone listens to you! Does your OB
work through the hospital or are they not affliated? I am in the process
of filing complaints with the hospital because of one of the doctors I had
to deal with. Now he is being brought infront of the Medical Review board
to discuss what action should be taken. This won't help your problem now,
but it's a thought if you don't get anywhere with this Doc. The OB should
be in the office seeing patients. Stay there until you can get his/her
attention and then confront him/her. I did this back in September when the
mean receptionist wouldn't let me make an appointment following the day the
PA in the ER told me Hope had no chance of survival. I went straight to
the office and found one of the nice nurses. She pulled Dan and I in right
away, sent for the ER test results and scheduled an appointment with the OB
for later in the day. Be firm- remind them that they work for you not the
other way around!!! If they don't see you- I'd seek out someone who will!
-Even if you have to start by going to a general physician- he/she could
always convince an OB/Specialist to see you right away! Good Luck! I hope
things turn around for you soon!
