Dear Ruth,=0D
Our Sofie Marie was born on January 16th and passed away February 13th, h=
er
live was 28 days and yet it felt like 28 years at the time (im sure you
could relate ) and now it felt like 28 seconds.(years on I still feel the
anguish) but its different the rawness has gone I can read the baby notic=
es
once again and I can laugh and not feel like I am betraying sofie. I have
also joined alliances with a group called THE TEDDY LOVE CLUB and what th=
eir
mission is , is to give all parents of babies that are stillborn,neoonate=
l
or infant loss a teddy when they lose their loved one, 9years ago I thoug=
ht
this was little compensation now I know the joy of holding sofies teddy a=
nd
smelling her. Its a sad reality that we have more parents in need than w=
e
do teddies and in most hospitals the baskets are getting filled constantl=
y
to give to these families a godsend is that the hospitals allow this
recognition and it helps a little.=0D
I have had 9years to allow me to know that sofie was born to me as a gift
and I truly treasure that , I don't feel that utter pain and thoughts th=
at
I was punished for some reason by losing her I now know god blessed me. I
went on to have another son 12 months after sofie passed I fell pregnant =
and
after a month in intensive care after giving birth and suffering horrendo=
us
complications I believed my life was complete, but the pain was very very
raw still even as I held dion and having a near death expereince as I
delievered him and fought for my life for 1month after I still felt the
anguish. It was through medical advice that my husband had an immediate
vasectomy as my life was too close to being lost with dions birth. The
reason I guess for me telling you all this is that I lost my faith as I l=
ost
Sofie and then when I was ill and slowly regained my health I believed I =
was
her for a bigger plan and that Sofies passing was not something I did in =
my
lifetime but a gift from her to me to show me how to love unconditionall=
y.=0D
God also had a bigger plan for me and on the eve of Sofies 6th anniversar=
y I
gave birth to a healthy daughter Georgia Eleni 8lb1oz after a very
succesfully 5year vasectomy. She has her sisters birthmarks. So you see R=
uth
I have learnt that no matter what you try in life there is a bigger plan
out there that neither you or I can control=0D
Sorry for the rambling=0D
I pray that you find comfort in these early and that you be gentle on
yourself and let the course of your grief take its time . There is no tim=
e
schedule nor is there any remedy only you can feel your pain and only you
can walk that mile but know something you are not alone and there are man=
y
of us that feel what you write and say and that's not only because we are=
a
few steps ahead that's because having these precious angels has allowed u=
s
to be what we are today=0D

Dear Lisa,=0D
=0D
Thank you so much for your reply. It filled me with such emotion to re=
ad
it. I'm so sorry that your Sofie died. I will always remember and take
comfort in that Sofie and Jill are both February saints in heaven.=0D
=0D
Nine years. I'm so sorry. I know that is my future. A lifetime witho=
ut
Jill. Sometimes I wonder if I can keep my sanity. A guess that's what
people mean when they say one day at a time, because thinking about the r=
est
of my life without my baby girl is too painful to comtemplate.=0D
=0D
What are Sofie's dates?=0D
=0D
We were very fortunate to be able to take Jill home after she died. I
think I would have lost my mind completely if I was forced to leave her a=
t
the hospital. As it was, leaving Jill at the funeral home that evening w=
as
very difficult. That's a whole other story. We ended up having her brou=
ght
to a different one the next day where the people there (my cousins) were
much more compassionate towards me and my family.=0D

Hi Erin,=3D0D=0D
=3D0D=0D
Your little son Tyler was born the day I buried my daughter Jill. She =3D=
=0D
was=0D
18 days old. The day Jill died, February 27, she was at home and had=0D
stopped breathing. My husband brought her back with CPR and I called 911=3D=
=0D
=3D2E=3D20=0D
The ambulance came and brought her to the hospital. Hospice stayed with =3D=
=0D
us=0D
the whole time in the hospital until Jill took her last breath in my arms=
=3D=0D
=3D2E=3D20=0D
During that day at the hospital I had mentioned that I had wanted to take=
=0D
Jill home and give her a bath and bring her to the funeral home myself, a=
=3D=0D
nd=0D
the hospice people took care of all that for us. I don't know what they=0D
said, but we walked out of that hospital with our baby girl and brought h=

er=0D
home.=3D0D=0D
