[tri-wings] Re: test.............

I am still here in sunny, and so very hot Naples, FL. I am in school full
time (currently on a break) working toward my masters to be a Physician
Assistant. I start the program next June. 

Just finished a major research paper about how the diagnosis of a fatal
disorder affects the decision making process for families of children with
full T13 and T18. I got an A and it was really interesting to do. 

I am still a Licensed Midwife but only occasionally provide back up and
vacation coverage these days. Sold both birth centers and they are doing
well and growing. 

We have 5 living children and Emma in heaven. 

I continue to raise money for research via Hope for Trisomy 13 and 18 and
have raised just over $80,000 now through our annual golf tournament in
honor of Emma Grace, The Day of Grace Golf Classic. (each year in May). 

Recently a friend lost her daughter to a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia at
9 days old. This friend was there for me when Emma died and I remember her
being here in my kitchen after the funeral setting up all the food and
getting everything ready. So here I am now, four years later doing those
things for her. It is just so awful and on the one hand I am happy to help
her in any way I can, but yet on the other hand just wish that she did not
need it, meaning her baby was safe in her arms. It makes you forget that
others lose their babies too, not just those of us with children with T13
and T18. I just wish that I was the only one in my circle of "pre-emma"
friends who had to experience this pain. I have since met so many others
that are now my friends who already knew the pain, but it is especially hard
to have this happen to someone who was there with you grieving the loss of
your child. 

So that is what is up with me!
