Sheila,
Rescue Remedy is a Bach Flower Remedy that is homeopathic. Homeopathy is
very big in Europe and has been around longer than modern medicine. Maybe a
good
thing maybe not ;)
Basically it is a tincture that is available very easily from a health food
store or on line. You place a few drops under your tongue at the first sign of
symptoms of stress, anxiety or even the opposite, exhaustion or lethargy. It
"rescues" you by re-balancing you.
I first heard of this in midwifery school where all the really "hippy'
midwifery students used it before tests, during a really long birth etc.. for
themselves.
I have used it since on myself, and also on pregnant or laboring moms, and
even newborns. It really works.
It may not completely alleviate your symptoms but what it might do is to
help you through long enough to get somewhere where you can get hold of them
yourself, or at least experience them in private.
It certainly cant hurt you. Here is a link to one place to buy it on line:

Hope this helps,
