Hi Stephanie,
This is just so awful and my heart bleeds too for your friend.
When I lost Sophie the people who helped me the most were the ones who came and
sat with me and just let me talk. Some brought flowers but friends who just
treated me as 'normal' helped me most. Some took me out for a meal and my
sister in law took me out every week whether I felt like it or not. My SIL lost
a bay boy at three days old and also her daughter at 24 years both to cystic
fibrosis. We nearly always ended up in tears as we talked in various cafes and
restaurants - we rarely went to the same place incase they thought we were
nuts!! But it really helped me get through those darkest of days when I never
ever thought I'd smile let alone laugh again. So my advice would be just go to
her, spend time with her and let her know you will be there if ever she needs
you. Don't know if this helps.
love Sharon x
