I know you don't know me from Adam, but my thoughts are, do you really want to 
have a baby with all those problems?
And no, you cannot have a baby with both Downs and T18.  My risks with Rosemary 
were high for both but the genetic counselor said that they can't have both.

My best wishes go out to you as you struggle to make this decision.

I was hoping to get some help with a few questions!!

We have been chosen for an unborn baby that is due at any time...Birth mom
is in the hospital on bed rest until delivery due to placenta previa
....Here are the details we would love input on....

----AFP Quad Screen:  Risk for Down syndrome: 1:37...with maternal age 1:29
                                  Risk for Trisomy 18: 1:23
(they are saying that the baby will has Down syndrome (which we are thrilled
about!!  LOL) BUT how can they say that if there is a risk for Trisomy 18 as
well????---can you have both or will it be one or the other??  A amnio has
not been done yet....)

----There is no noted heart defect BUT shows shortened femurs, midly dilated
bowel and a mass superior to the right kidney

----Smoked 1-2 packs of cig. a day for the first 20 weeks and then reduced
that when she found out BUT not sure by how much...and she is on a nic.
patch while in the hosptial per the doctor....

----Drank 80 ounces of alcohol PER DAY for the first 20 weeks and then
reduced it to 24 ounces of alcohol PER DAY since then...since June 28th when
she was admitted to the hospital the alcohol has stopped....

----Urine Drug screen was postive for: acetaminophen, nicotine, opiates,
propoxyphene and cannabinoids

These are the things that have stuck out in the medicals that we just
received and I would LOVE thoughts and advice and experience etc....thanks
in advance.
