[tri-wings] Re: (no subject)

Hello Jennifer,
Why this has happened to any of us is the big question and one that I am
afraid that I am terribly inadequate to answer. While the birth, diagnosis
and ultimate death of our precious Louise was the most tragic and painful
thing that has happened to us... I can now say 13 years down the track that
I am glad she was part of our lives and I have said more than once in those
13 years that if I had my life over again that I would still want Louise as
part of it. How could I disclude her when she taught me soo much!!!
Because of her I know what grief is I believe I have become a more caring,
compassionate and understanding person. My heart aches for her every day
but to try to search for why, to me, would be a pointless and frustrating
exercise. Instead I have accepted what has happened and made my mission to
support and educate others about Trisomy 18 and to be a better support to
bereaved parents. I would love to know more about Zachary (what a lovely
name). Are you aware of the email listserve for parents who have lost their
babies to Trisomy 18? The site to go to is www.freelists.org and subscribe
to tri-wings. I think it helps to talk about our babies and see that we are
not alone in our grief and that others are having a hard time accepting what
has happened to them too. It is also encouraging to hear that most families
go on to have healthy babies and that they can have a life after Trisomy.
