[tri-wings] Re: new to group

Thank you for the welcome Deanna.  I'm sorry to read
about the loss of your dear Jessica.
At our 20 week u/s we had found out our girl appeared
to have a trisomy/chromosonal issue.  There were no
visible defects other than she was measuring 3 weeks
behind and there was no return blood flow in the
umbilical cord (I forget the technical term) and the
blood flow that was there was not consistant.  The dr
said she would pass away inutero in a few weeks.  We
were blessed to have 3 more weeks with her and I
treasured every moment I felt her/heard her heartbeat.
 At our follow up u/s on may 6th (23 weeks) we learned
she had died, prob a couple of days prior the dr said.
 I chose to begin induction that day and was admitted
to the hospital the following morning.  Luckily labor
was quick and uncomplicated (as I had a csection with
my son, so there was some risk of rupture) and hannah
was delivered at 3:53pm on may 7th.  She was perfectly
formed in every way...just so small.  She was 7 inches
long and weighed 1/2 pound.  As I had said the Dr
feels she had a rare trisomy which wouldnt be genetic,
so the risk of having it again or to have passed it to
our son are very slim.  We held Hannah for a long
time, took pictures and enjoyed our precious angel. 
While I cant begin to understand why she was here just
a short time, I know her being here was a miracle as
after 8 years of trying for #2, we didnt think it
would happen...and low-and-behold we had Hannah and I
am soooo very thankful for every moment I was pregnant
with her.
