[tri-wings] looking for a quote

Hi everyone,

I can't seem to locate a quote that I once read, and loved. Our annual
charity event is coming up, and for it I am preparing a memorial display
with babies' pictures, poems, and memorial cards. I want to include this
quote... but google is not revealing it to me. If anyone can help me locate
the quote, I'd love to share it with all the folks at our event.

It goes something like this, only much more eloquent, and I believe it might
be a proverb from long ago:

Those who lived for a long time are the students, those who are here for a
short time are the teachers.

PS - If anyone would like to have their angel baby included in this display,
the deadline is JULY 27 (I am in Colorado USA). Email me a photo and any
text you would like to include to corinne@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Although our daughter died from Trisomy 18, and we have many members whose
babies were born with trisomy, it is an event for RTF, whose members' babies
have been lost for reasons including trisomy and non-trisomy alike.

Thanks for any help,
Corinne

As others have said counciling would be a good idea ( not that I have done
that yet, just cant bring myself to do it) I am still pretty much doing
the one day at a time thing as well. I did go back to work after about 3
weeks which is probably way to early but in my fog I "forgot" that I could
have gone on unemployment insurance for the stress. I only work partime and
in some ways it did help because it got me interacting with others. I am an
RN on the post partum floor and I did wonder if I would have to change
floors but the babies don't bother me, I guess its because I delt with the
whole "that's what I was soposed to get" when Rebecca was born in 91, it
will still hit me but not with the same intensity. I cant answer to the
never having another child as I do have a son Mark, that said I always
wanted a daughter and that does make me sad ( but I am not having anymore
children) Glenn and I are still together and we do grieve differently but
that's ok, ( we have been together 27 yrs so we are well attunded to each
other and I think this helps, when I cry he just gets me the tissues but
dose not say anything or try and comfort me as that is just his way and I
accept that, plus I know he feels the grief deeply so its probably all he
can do so he dose not break down as well) I did take up a new hobby and
that is scrapbooking and it has been very therapeutic and at times
exhausting.
