[tri-wings] Re: just when I was feeling better...

(( Brenda ))

Not much can be said that hasn't already, but I too believe your co-worker
just wasn't thinking about all the ramifications of her words....the gesture
itself should be allowed to speak for itself....

If nothing else, it teaches us all to be even that much more careful with
our words and thoughts to a grieving family...
I know I worried when I got pregnant with Christopher 6 months after Jordan
gained his wings, that people thought I was trying to replace him... what
mattered is what I knew in my heart.

Here's a bit of truth now, that it's been 18 years...(almost 19!) I don't
know what my life would have been like without Christopher...he is my ray of
sunshine!! And, to tell you the reallllll honest truth, if Jordan had been
born healthy, who knows if I would've even gone on to have another child...;
NOW let me say this - Jordan is my ray of sunshine, too - but in a much,
much different way. My other two children are also rays of sunshine...in
ways just as special and loving. But, heaven knows (and probably will only
ever be the only one!!) I was given Jordan - his life, and his legacy - for
13 days, for a reason. I had lessons to learn, eyes to open, hearts to
open - wound - and heal. Then, in my own mind (again a PERSONAL observation
here), Jordan's heavenly father called him back home - and then blessed me
with Chris - 1 year 1 month and 6 days later. No one could ever say Chris
was given to me to replace Jordan. But I truly believe that what happened -
all of it - was meant to happen.

Don't know what provoked that thought ... and sorry for the rambling. Just
guess I felt the need to share from a Mom who has had 2 children (who are
almost grown) since Jordan lived and then gained his wings. Life is so
precious - yet so mysterious...

((( Warm hugs ))) to you...
Blessed be!
