i am sorry for sticking my nose into your conversation, but that part below 
worried me.  are you safe where you are?  it is not fair to call yourself 
stupid.  lots of people stay in situations that are not the best.  it is not 
easy to leave.   i have a good friend who just left her husband (kicked him 
out) after 8 years of lies, emotional abuse and general crap.  she, like 
you, is very well educated(dr. of chiropractic) runs her own business ,etc. 
i read your letter and you reminded me of her.  look after yourself and make 
sure you are safe.  you have so much to deal with .  be kind to yourself.  i 
wish i was able to give you a hug and a shoulder to cry on, but distance 
makes that a bit tricky i am sure, so cyberhugs instead.
