[tri-wings] Re: help please

Family members came over and cleaned the whole house, and then people
brought meals for a few weeks.
After that only family pretty much did stuff. Others moved on.
It would have been nice if people called or offered to do specific things.
A lot of people said, if you need anything let me know. but you are not
going to call and let others know. You just want people to do something.

Along with cooking, I had no desire to clean (I never have a desire to clean
anyway). When were thinking about going to Utah for the conference in 2002,
a group from the church I grewth up in paid for the flight and hotel. When
Brendan passed, they came through again first with setting up an account at
a local market that did daily meals. Any time I didn't feel like cooking I
could stop in there and pick something up. They also gave us some money to
hire a cleaning woman to come in and help out. Although that can get
expensive, just having someone in to do laundry, wash the floor or run a
vacuum was great. This group really helped us out alot besides the meals
and cleaning they also paid for the head and foot stone at the cementary.
