Hi Agnieszka
I don't post often and can't claim that I know a huge amount about
genetics, but I can tell you this one thing. Your triple X syndrome did
not cause your little girl to have T-18 and you having this triple X
syndrome will not mean that any more of your children will have T-18
either. Each of us get 22 'information' chromosomes from each of our
parents, and one sex chromosome from each too. You got two sex
chromosomes from one of your parents instead of one and yes, you can and
will pass this syndrome onto your children, however, it usually doesn't
kill children. Girls usually show no symptoms but some do, but boys are
affected more because they will have the genetic code XXY, giving them
more exaggerated female features.
Don't give up your chance to have another little baby of your own yet,
not until you know all the pros and cons of your chromosome condition.
I'm so sorry to hear that you've received this blow to add to the pain
of losing your little girl, but just know that this is a cruel fluke of
nature and not something that happened because of you.
Take care and don't give up hope,
Jean
