[tri-wings] first anniversary

Hi all,

Sorry I have not posted much in the last few months, as I am sure for all of
you, christmas was very hard for us. Both John and I were not in the christmas
spirit and dreaded going shopping for presents for the kids. Michael was being
very difficult too. He was feeling the same way John and I were. things have
gotten a bit better once we pasted the holidays. I am sorry I didn't get a
chance to send out all the cards I had wanted to, but I wanted to thank you all
who did send a card.

Yesterday was the first anniversary, and it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated.
I got up and took the girls to school and went to work. When I got home there
were flowers waiting here from my mom and sister, both waiting to say that they
were thinking of our family and Brendan. John's mom and sister also called to
express the same feelings. Michael forgot what day it was and kind of felt
left out. On the whole I think it went well.

Anyway, things have been a bit tough here, John has been out of work since
september, although he is working a side job and making enough for us to live,
they don't expect him to go back to work for another 3 to 4 months.
unemployment run out before then and medical runs out at 39 weeks. I am hoping
he has a job before that. John's mom's cancer came back from her bout with it
2 years ago and it has spread to her stomach lining, chest and lymph nodes.
She has started back on the chemo and is doing okay. John's father is not in
great health either but they don't talk about it much.

I am still working my 2 part time jobs and moving along well. I have lots to
do with the girl scout although do not have a troop this year.

Michael got honor the first marking period and we are so proud of him, he kind
of dropped of the second one but with the holidays I understand. He had his
first concert of the year, he plays the trumpet, they did very well.

Caitlin is doing okay in fourth grade she has had so ups and downs, but things
are getting better for her at school. Fourth grade is hard because of the
state testing, they spend most of the year practicing for the tests. She
wanted to play the violin but has recently changed to the celo. I am waiting
to see how that goes.

Siobhan has started kindergarden and is the smartest in her class, not really
but I like to think so, she is reading already and writing short stories. She
turned 6 in january and has lost 8 teeth, 6 are still missing with 4 of them on
the top.

I think that kinds of cover everything. I will try not to be gone for long
again.
