[tri-wings] checking in

i wanted to share a couple of things with list members as you have all been
such an important part of my life since tyler's birth and throughout our loss.
after quitting my job as a correctional officer ( which no longer seemed at
all rewarding) and returning to school, it occured to me i should get a job. i
applied for a job with our local community mental health centre as a support
worker. I GOT IT!!!! yeah!!! the reason i wanted to share this is because i
chose this line of work as a result of my experiences with tyler and because of
all of the trisomy kids and angels i have had the pleasure of meeting. between
tyler and all of you i have learned so much and become a very different and
much nicer person. it is not a journey i would have chosen to undertake, but
then who among us would? might as well make the best of it, right?

second, to those of you who are inclined, i would ask you to pray for my father
in law. he has taken an abrupt downturn in his health(he has cancer) and is
expected to pass very soon, perhaps this weekend. he can no longer eat or
think clearly. he is tired and wants to leave. i am so worried about darrell.
he has lost his mum, his son, and now, his father all within two years. he
seems to be taking things as well as anyone could be expected to, but i wonder
how much one person can take before they reach their limit.
