bess,
we have a candle holder with tyler's name on it. we burn it at every special
family meal. i also got white vanilla candles from ikea ( $5.oo
canadian.-can't remember where you live). they are great, burn for 60
hours. when i really miss tyler i just let a candle burn. often it gets
way too quiet when kira is at school and abbey is asleep so i just have a
candle burning and i am closer to tyler. it is like a focus point for a
meditation, a reminder of what his life was about and how changed we are
because of him. our home is a place where tyler will always be in spirit.
he started and ended his life in this house. candles that smell ice leae a
lingering scent after they are burnt as well, like tyler. although he is
not physically present, his spirit is still here. we also just had a new
grandson named tyler by our son jeremy and his wife trish.
i guess this is a personal form of aromatherapy and relaxation. thanks for
making me think about all that stuff. i thought i was just burning candles
and i guess i was turning a ritual into therapy! it is wonderful to have all
of you to reflect with out there.
last but certainly not least, feel free to send photos of your chubby little
baby to me at bifman@xxxxxxxxxxxxx trade you a picture of will for one of
abbey? she is 7 months old and just beautiful, happy and a real spirit
lifter.
