[tri-wings] Re: Weight issues with Vada

Tracy,
Thanks for the advise. The problem with Vada is that she doesn't spit up
that much or vomit. She just chokes and I guess maybe she swallows. I have
been sitting her up and she has even been sleeping in a more upright
position. Usually she doesn't have the choking spells until about an hour or
so after each feeding. She gets fed about every 3 hours or so and I am
nursing her 10 minutes on each side then she gets 2 ounces of formula. I
thnk that may be too much for her but this is what her dr. recommended. It
is so hard knowing if she is getting too much or too little or if she has
excess gas or if she has reflux. I think these little ones need to come with
detailed instructions. ;)
Hopefully her regular dr. will be of some help if not, then I will take her
to my dr. instead.
Thanks again for responding. it is nice to know that she isn't the only one
with feeding issues.

Stacey,
I understand how scared you are Jono had a mild form of reflux when he was a
baby and would 'spit up' often and in the first 3 days he was projectile
vomiting until I 'restricted' his breastfeeding. S
