I'm not the most computer literate person, but here's the experience I had:
Last fall I got a virus--I think from someone who had my address from the T-18
bulletin board--and before I knew I had it, it sent out e-mails to everyone one
my address book, plus to web sites I had checked, etc.
Most of them came back unopened because their anti-virus protection caught it,
and some caught it and deleted it. But I had one person that was able to open
it and it had a porn message attached!! Now to anyone who doesn't know me, I
am not into sending porn! But I did take a lot of kidding from my husband and
sons who referred to "ma's porn site". But anyway, maybe someone isn't
singling you out, but they have a virus and their computer is up to no good,
unknown to them.
I do agree, however, that the low people who create viruses are absolutely
malicious and have too much time on their hands.
