Theresa
My heart goes out to you. It is indeed a pain too much to bear and I don't
know how anyone gets through it, but we all have somehow. I can't give you any
magic advice, I was a mess for the longest time after I lost my son Connor
(seven years ago now). I had no reason to get up and found life really hard.
I didn't move on well at first, but eventually I started to function again.
Its okay to be a mess. You'll probably have bad days and then really awful
days. Try to do what helps you, and only you know that. Or you probably don't
know, but if it involves tears and chocolate its probably okay.
The only tiny piece of advice I would give is not to push your husband away.
I'm sure he is in terrible pain too. You need each other more than anything
right now. I pushed some people away in grief and it took a long time to
rectify it. Don't become a statistic and try and stick together, even if it
feels painful and false to make an effort.
You're in the right place anyway. Everyone here will listen and try and help
wherever they can. You can be honest here and say things you can't admit to
other people, because we all know, we've all been there. Its so so hard and I
wish I could take some of it away for you. You are in my thoughts tonight.
Love
Demi Please anyone advise how do you cope.> > Theresa
