I was watching a re-run of ER this morning, and I have seen it before but
non of it made any sense to me then, but still made me cry. Well it has a
boy 6 years old with T-18.
Katie,
I saw that show a few months ago. It was very sad but it also really made
me mad. The way that jerk doctor came in and took pictures and didn't give
a hoot about the little kid. He treated him like a freak. And then the
parents leaving this little boy and not coming back. So depressing. I know
it's just a TV show but it still made me mad. Children with T18 aren't
freaks and they shouldn't be portrayed that way. What's really
heartbreaking is that there probably really are doctors that feel the same
as the one on ER, that that little boy shouldn't even exist. It's the T18
that shouldn't exist - not the little boy. We take what we are given and
love our children healthy or not.
