[tri-wings] Thanks and a long long overdue update

First of all a huge huge thanks to everyone who sent messages for Gareth's
angel day....... you guys are the best !!!!
Time has done much in the way of softening the pain but the heartache and all
that goes with the loss of a child continues .I managed to get home a few days
prior to the 14th and as soon as I got to the children's garden ,it was like it
all happened yesterday:-( I cannot believe how many years have gone by and yet
how much it is all so very "new".
I almost got excited that Steve called on the day, but I should have known
better than to think he would have remembered...he called to ask me to drive
the kids 200 miles to see his dad before he is called home :-(

Life here continues to be hectic and a rollercoaster ride that either leaves us
exhilarated or exasperated by the end of the day. :-)
Matt is ,of late, more settled and his psycho therapy sessions have come to an
end. He has an open door until he is 18 so that all he needs do is pick up the
phone and his therapist will take him back on board. This past year has only
seen two suicide bids so he must be getting better !He has had to make some
pretty important decisions at school regarding career paths and the kid who
wanted out at 16 has decided he wants to pursue the idea of becoming a civil
engineer. ( a visit from Kathy and Dominic last January and a planned trip to
S.A. had nothing to do with it at all LOL!!!!)
Charlotte remains her placid self and has finally found an interest outside of
school life.....horse riding.Despite costing us a fortune, its wonderful to see
her away from books and computers. Her dream of a life Down Under is still very
much alive .

Alfie is now in playschool four days a week (14 hours in total) and is driving
me crazy with his request that Santa comes NOW ,right this very minute
!!!!!!!!! I stupidly told him that he comes when it snows thinking it would put
him off for a while but then Sunday brought us a scattering of snow !!!! big
hole and a whole lot of digging for mum :-))))))

Barry is fast becoming the incredible shrinking man...(ok well maybe not that
drastic LOL). April saw him getting a gastric band fitted and he has since lost
5 stone. He still thinks he is way too fat but I'm soooooooo proud of him for
getting this far !

Me? well I'm just knackered most of the time and extremely tired for the
remainder but wouldn't change this life for the one I had before.
Hopefully I will now have more time to be back here amongst my best friends.

I have sadly had to mass delete but hopefully I will get back into the flow of
what's happening pretty soon.

hugs
