[tri-wings] Re: Thanks

Maya,
It is not ungrateful to "complain" about having her only four years! Although
four years may be a very long time compared to other t18 children, it is not a
long enough life for ANY child. I think that any parent who loses a child feels
that they were too young, whether they are 4 or 54. The fact is that it isn't
the natural order of things for children to die before their parents. You are
doing great dealing with your grief. I can relate to almost every post you make
since I just lost my little sweet pea so recently as well. Peace be with you.

PS My hubby doesn't like the idea of counseling for himself either...

Just wanted to say thank you for all the kind words of support. I know what I'm
feeling is nothing new to the folks on this list. You are an extremely caring
group who really understand and I'm grateful for that. I know it must sound
very
ungrateful of me to complain about having only 4 years with Mieko when we were
really blessed. I'm sorry if that seems insensitive. We have such a long way to
go. I am starting counseling next week. My husband won't be going, but it's
nothing I can force. We all grieve differently and I think I need to start
taking the burden off him and have someone else listen.

Thanks again to everyone for being there and listening and also for the hugs I
received at the picnic. I'm sure I will be needing more help and advice in the
coming days and months.
