As of April 15th, 2007, we now have 68 completed surveys!
However, we also currently have 24 Modified & 102 Full activated surveys in
varying stages of completion. This is awesome folks! But also a bit of a
reality
check for us in the amount of time it takes to process all of the data.
Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to suspend new activations as
of
the 30th of April until February 1, 2008.
Anyone who still wants to be involved in this years data collection needs to
get
activated ASAP. (Go to http://web3.coehs.siu.edu/TRIS/NewUser.php .)
Also, I will make a point of reaching out again to the few remaining names
in our
original "Interested Participant" database who remain unactivated at this
time.
We will still be taking new enrollment information after the 30th, we just
won't be
activating accounts until we open up the next round of data collection,
which will
be February 1 - April 30, 2008.
There are several reasons that this will be necessary. As previously
mentioned,
time is a major one. We need time to get our "Developmental Matrix"
presentation
ready for the SOFT Conference this summer. And it also appears that we
will be
losing most of our university funding for our Student Research Assistants,
which
means that they will be putting in fewer hours toward project tasks and
activities.
Therefore, we will also need to take the time this fall to prepare proposals
for
additional sources of funding for the project.
If you'd like more information first, please visit

Click on the "TRIS Survey" link for information about areas the survey
covers.
As always, please feel free to write to tris@xxxxxxx or directly to either
Dr. Bruns
at dabruns@xxxxxxx or me (Fawna) at fawna33@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx if you have
additional questions.
And thanks to all of you for your support for this much needed project.
