Boy can I relate! Rylee didn't get truly "Happy" until the last couple of
months. We think she was allergic to milk, so while I breast fed I had to
avoid all dairy, not to mention fresh veggies or anything that might produce
gas. I tell you it was so stressful, I can't believe I didn't just give
up - but she seemed worse on formula. Finally after supplementing with many
different types of formula we found she did best on Ailmentum (by Similac) -
but it was very expensive - $23.00 for a small can of powder (14oz) - that
is why I wouldn't give up on nursing. When she weaned herself at about 5
1/2 months I switched her to Carnation Good Start Soy and she's done great
on that. I have tried switching her to the milk based from time to time and
she just cramps up and screams. I hope I can try to get her on milk in a
month her so.

For anyone that has problems with the formula or nursing, I would highly
recommend the Ailmentum if you can afford it. It is so pitiful to have a
poor screaming baby that doesn't know why they hurt.
