>I still wonder if anyone has had two children with T-13 full<
Ambre -
I've read a few of your posts lately, and thought maybe my 2 cents here
might help.
I am a carrier of a translocated pair of chromosomes (namely 13 & 14). And,
with this 'affliction', I have borne the following children: 1st child:
Healthy son (currently aged 22, unknown if he is also a carrier). 2nd
child: Jordan Nicholas, full Trisomy 13, lived 12 1/2 days. 3rd child:
Healthy son (currently aged 19, also a carrier of the translocated
chromosomes) and 4th child: Healthy daughter (currently aged 11, also a
carrier of the translocated chromosomes). Between my 3rd child and my 4th
child, I miscarried two children. Both of them were as Jordan was. Full
Trisomy 13's. I miscarried both children between 6-8 weeks gestation.
Jordan was my only full-term Trisomy baby. (Again, I believe he was MEANT
to be - even for his small 12 1/2 day stay).
Now, Ambre, my case is different. I am a carrier of an anomaly that WILL
affect my children, and now, my grandchildren (we thank our Lord we don't
have any of those yet - we need some married kids first!) I have had
additional HEALTHY children after Jordan - and, as mentioned, have also
miscarried 2 additional Trisomy babies. My chances ARE higher. I've had
testing since Jordan, (CVS was all that was available to me - but I also had
sonograms with Jordan that DID NOT detect ANY problems)with each pregnancy
and have had to make my decisions, believe me. But, all in all, I agree
with what I believe I'm reading is in your heart.
We take what we're given, and are blessed and graced by our children.
Perfect or not. And we learn....
I believe that the Domhoff family has also had more than one Trisomy child
(someone correct me if I'm wrong!!)
Praying for safety for all those in route to Conference this year....one
year I WILL go!
