Ambre,
First, congratulations on your pregnancy!! That is awesome. Then,
the other two questions bearing on your mind.

I think that after you have a "level" 3 ultrasound, you will know
whether or not to have more testing done, but if you are just going
to have your third "regular" ultrasound, you might not learn anything
new. But you might, too. You have the right to ask for the one that
will give you the most information even if you have to go to a
different clinic or hospital to have it done. If your doctor doesn't
think you should - and you want more information - then IMHO you
should be able to have whatever tests you want. But that is just
me. I would never stop my pregnancy, either, but I would want to know.
And somewhere in my recollections of people on this board, and on the
previous one that stopped, I seem to remember moms who had more than
one child with problems, but I'm not sure if both were trisomies. I
think there was one mom who had lost two babies to trisomy, but most
of those that lost more than one child had children with different
maladies. For instance, Mandy lost two children, but only one had a
trisomy. I think it would be extremely rare.

Now that you have my 2 cents worth, I hope you can get the answers
and the tests that you want and still enjoy this pregnancy.
