Ok, here's my two cents worth: Since Erin(11/4/94-5/4/95)was my youngest, I
never had to go through these decisions. I guess I wouldn't have done testing
back then because I wouldn't have changed anything even with a positive
diagnosis. Erin made such an great impact on our families' lives and was such
a joy to have. But now that my daughter is a NICU nurse in one of the biggest
hospitals in our state, I see the value of prenatal testing. If there is a
problem it would be benificial to have the baby in a large hospital where they
can do more. Now I probably would opt for the testing just so my child could
have a better chance if there were a problem.
I guess this is the type of thing where you have to follow your heart.
Hugs and wishing you the best,
Gloria--mommy to angel Erin, plus Loren,29; Adam,28; Brenda, 24; Ashlyn, 13 and
attending pipe organ camp this week(she loves it!).
