Dear All

Just a quick update (while I have enough strength to keep my eyelids =
open!)

Matthew has been home for just over a week now, and aside from one trip =
to=20
hospital for a bumped head, we seem to be doing okay!  It's very tiring=20
though, although I guess I don't have to tell you guys that!

He is making really good progress and has started to walk this week, =
which=20
is very good news.  We had the first paediatric appointment today, which =
for

a six hour round trip was frankly a waste of time.  Their conclusion was =
-=20
(wait for it) - he is obviously delayed and need a proper assessment.  =
Which

frankly I could have come up with myself!  GRRR.  So now we are on the=20
waiting list for an assessment (update in a year probably!)

On a brighter note, we have his second birthday in two weeks time and I =
have

run out of things to buy because everyone else has bought them! I have =
had=20
enough sense to have the party elsewhere though, rather than in my =
house.

Let me know if anyone wants to see a picture (although it might take a=20
fortnight before I can check my mail again)
