Thank you Everyone!
As I read through my mountains of email tonight I was so happy to see the warm
wishes for our Laura's Angel Day. As Darcy stated because of the serious
illness of Robert's mother we just were unable to think about the day and even
came close to losing his mother that very day. We pleaded with God not to do
that to us. He granted that wish but the past Thursday at 2:00 pm we lost
Robert's mother. We removed life support on Wednesday afternoon and she made
it just over 24 hours. Robert and I had stayed with her all day Wednesday
until 11:00 am on Thursday. His brother and wife came in at that point to take
there turn staying. She lasted just a few more hours and went peacefully away.
We were not there but we knew she was in a much better place. I am sure my
three little angels (Laura, Baby Girl and our latest Baby) were waiting for
their Nanna in heaven. We had her funeral today. It was joyous because she
was suffering so (severe diabetic on dialysis) but sad because we knew we would
never talk or see her again. My sister-in-law and I were able to find a really
nice outfit for her to wear and was able to work on her lips and face because
of the life support she was kind of scratched and rubbed raw in some places.
She ended up looking better than I had seen her in a while.
Please keep Robert in your prayers. I know he will miss his mother more in the
days to come. Right now he is just relieved the suffering is over. We are
taking our two foreign exchange students to Florida tomorrow for Spring Break.
We think the time away will do us all some good. Bless there hearts they have
been passed around my office for two weeks and are glad to have us back home.
Thanks for all the love and support.
