The people on this list are so wonderful. I don't say much and have been
more of a lurker than a participator but I do read most of the posts and
I've often cried and offered prayers for you when I read them.=20
I think that most people when they ask the question, "How many children =
or
grand children do you have?" really don't care to know the status and
history of each child. We believe that the little ones who have crossed =
over
to the other side are just as much our children and grandchildren as the
ones that get their PhD's. We didn't get to hold them in our arms very =
long,
and sometimes not at all, but they made a lasting mark on our lives and =
we
are grateful for the little time we had with them this side of eternity. =
The
older we get the more we realize that life is "just a vapor" and whether =
we
only live 5 months in the womb or 105 outside of it, a couple of hundred
thousand years from now, it will seem a very short time.
We have 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren. They "are" all precious to us. =
They
have all touched our lives deeply and memories of special times and yes, =
the
pain too, are more cherished than any possession we could ever have.=20
If the conversation progresses we might share what each one does and =
where
each one is at, but it really doesn't matter to us does it? We have 5
grandchildren that we can still kiss and hold, but the two that have =
gone
ahead, still impact our lives and we are better people because of them.=20
