I'm sorry that you had to hear (and see slides of?) that! I don't
think I could handle it either. But then, I've been told by my Hmong
adult women in class that when they crossed the Mekong River they had
to put handkerchiefs in their babies mouths so that they wouldn't cry
and give them away as they were trying to escape the Viet Kong
armies. Many of them died from suffocation and they had to leave
them in the river. I couldn't bear hearing that either.
Life is sometimes very cruel. You have my hugs and prayers.
