I was booked to work tonight ( 3-11) as I had forgotten to ask for it off.
I work with some really compassionate girls!  Both Me and Cindy were trying
to get it off as it is Rebecca's and Cindy's sons birthday, both of us were
trying to get Pam to  work for us. Now I really wanted it off as it would
have been Rebecca's 18 birthday but how can one argue with a live child
about 9 having his mom home on his birthday?  Between Pam and Cindy they
decided I should have it off. So we had Glenn's parents over for dinner ( my
mother had apparently forgot it was Rebecca's birthday and went to an Elvis
show with her new friends, but hey that's my mother) I had a day of
remembering her birth and the feelings before we found out about the T 18 as
well as grieving all that we have lost. Betty (MIL) and I worked on a
scrapbook Layout about Rebecca and we toasted her at dinner. On my last
shift I left in my locker a bunch of goodies for the girls that worked for
me ( and the girl that did not get her sons birthday off) I called in after
the shift started to tell them to look in my locker :0)
