Herre's what I do with the stocking situation:  Erin was our youngest of five; 
the first Christmas without her, Brenda was 14 and Ashlyn was 3, and the boys 
were 20 and 19 and on their own. We started the tradition that year of there 
being something in Erin's stocking that was a gift from her to Ashlyn, usually 
jewelry, book or hair ornament.  Now Ashlyn is 13 but we still continue this 
tradition.  Our grandchildren never knew Erin, but they do know about her.  We 
talk about her and how she's their angel auntie.  I guess I want them to know 
about her.
