I've been lurking for quite some time now (and, maybe someday soon I'll
'splain' myself for that) BUT your email brought me out!!

First of all - I have to say - thank goodness you're not Steve's idea of
NORMAL!!!  (Count your blessings for that peace of sanity!)  And then I'd
like to say I totally understand the point of your 'rant' because my ex
basically did the same thing after we divorced - and he then proceeded to
marry the woman he was having an affair with while we were married -; he
refused to visit on Jordan's birthday, or his angel day.  He refused to talk
about Jordan with anyone, and turned his head the other way if I brought
Jordan up in his company.
But, lo and behold, not long after he remarried, he took his new wife out to
visit the gravesite of our beautiful son. Of course, I get a visual of him
also telling his side of the story, and how, of course, because I carry the
translocation that it was all my fault - and, that because I am a 'flawed'
woman and had a 'flawed' child he felt the need to divorce me....whew, my
imagination just goes W-I-L-D. And, i also get p*%$#@d all over again!
Of course, I figured out his game plan (because there usually is one) - he
was going for the sympathy vote yet once again.  I too would like to believe
that he had some sudden revelation or change of heart about Jordan or our
experience in general.  But, when it comes to this ex, all I have to say
is - BUYER, BEWARE!  Good luck to wife #2, because she is going to NEED
IT...!!  And, my dear Mandy, so is CHRIS! Hopefully, Steve has changed - but
if not, then Chris just inherited him.
Just thought I'd peek out and sympathize...
