They mean pretty much the same here in Australia - I guess I would translate
it slightly differently - cow = lazy not necessarily fat in my dictionary,
to me cow is the lazy form of bi**h. Donkey means being idiotic, stupid,
dumb. Personally we don't use the term cow in our house, nor do we use
donkey. The dog however is frequently referred to as a "turkey" or "banana"
dog. (the latter referring to her acting as of she has a bent brain -
usually when she is chasing her tail, the cat or having a fight with the
sheepskin rug in my bedroom :-))))
