I agree. We didn't do any tests until he had to.  In order for
Christian's condition to be put in my medical records the military had
to do the amnio to confirm his condition.  We were half way through my
pregnancy when we found out. =20
However I think I will do all the tests next time just because we have
had so many problems.=20

I think education is a vital thing.  I consciously chose not to do any
testing during my pregnancy with Ruth.  I am so glad that I didn't.  I
got to enjoy a healthy pregnancy without the added stress of her
diagnosis.  That was one small piece of joy in such a hard situation.
If I had known her condition, I wouldn't have done things differently.
That is just me.  I think each person should decide for themselves.
