[tri-wings] Re: Platitudes

Robyn,

My belief is that all innocent babies who have never had the chance to
wrong another living creature go to Heaven. I believe also that
children born with a fatal disorder like our babies are born special,
that they are set on a special path, so that we know that they are
watching over us, not angels, a step below, but also a step above where
we, who get to live a full life here on Earth, will be when we get
there. Sometimes, I see my baby girl in my dreams, she's always
skipping, picking flowers and leading her grandmother, who died only 10
weeks after her death, through beautiful meadows. I used to see her
standing next to me, touching my belly when I was pregnant with her baby
brother, those dreams were so vivid that I couldn't remember if they
were dreams or real when I woke up.
To me, baptism is a man made concept, and no man can tell us what
happens beyond this life. I don't believe in organised religion but I
do believe that you are rewarded or punished for your actions in this
life when you reach the next. Your baby girl, Brittany is safe and
happy, wherever she is.

Just thought I'd share, I had similar when we lost my baby girl, but she
was stillborn and someone told me that the Vatican decided that the
souls of stillborn babies aren't stained with Original Sin because they
left their bodies before birth. If the Church can change it's minds,
it's pretty clear that all this stuff is just spouted to keep the crowds
happy.
