Gloria,

Chicken pox as an adult can be a horrible thing to go through...and
adults with chicken pox usually have much worse cases of it.  Are you
sure you have never had the pox? Some people have them and don't really
even know it, or their parents never knew it.  If you had a sibling or
children who had the pox, and you spent much time around them, chances
are that you have had the pox, just a very mild case...ask your
physician. If I were you, I'd worry more about getting chicken pox than
about getting shingles. I've had both, and though not fun, shingles is
treatable. If I find any articles at work about any of this, I will try
to e-mail them to you.

Ok, if you have the vaccination, is it then possible to get shingles
later
in life due to that??
