I too am sorry that I missed Leslie's special day.  I know what a
comfort it was to hear from everyone on Grace's so I truly am sorry that
I missed the day.  Sending hugs your way now...

As for Mandy's statement below, I couldn't agree with her more.  In
February I got a card from a friend.  Grace's due date had been February
5th and this friend was acknowledging what would have been her birthday.
It said something along the lines of:  I know Grace should have been
here by now, healthy and happy, blah blah blah".  Oh my, how I hated
that card.  I would prefer people remember her heavenly birthday, not
the "should have been" birthday.  The card sent me into a total
tailspin.  I just couldn't understand how someone could not understand
that that would be hurtful.  But, as so many pointed out on this list,
our friends and family will never know how we want to be treated unless
we tell them. =20

I guess the moral to my story is:  tell your friends and family how you
feel.  Hopefully they will understand and will try and be more
respectful and understanding of your feelings.

though it could be that what you may interpret as a lack of feeling on
their
part may actually be a misguided attempt to spare your feelings. Some
people
operate on the assumption that talking about our angels will cause
additional pain.
