Hi my list family -

I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to let you know that Allison Jane
arrived on August 21st at 2:45 pm.  She weighed 7lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches
long.  She is just beautiful and we have been overwhelmed with emotions.  We
had a couple of complications -- nothing too serious.  I was in labor on
Tuesday and when the doctors came in check my progress they discovered that
she was presenting face up and that part of her cord and her hand were ahead
of her, so we had to have a c-section.  I was a little nervous (not having
had a c-section with Kevin or Matthew) but my doctors were great.  Allison
had some fluid in her lungs when she was born, so she was on oxygen and an
iv for almost 24 hours -- a long time for me -- I was so worried, but the
doctors said that was pretty common for c-section babies.  Anyway, we came
home on Thursday night and we all made it to my sister's wedding yesterday
-- although my participation was minimal!  We feel truly blessed and are so
thrilled with our little one --

Matthew's one year anniversary is tomorrow and I think his sister wanted to
make sure she was here to help us through it -- I feel him at work in our
lives in so many ways -- his sister being the most important.  Thank you all
for your prayers and good wishes.
