Katie,
I can relate to that. I have an aunt who asked me at Brandon's prayer
service the night before his funeral if she could take a picture of Brandon
in his little casket. I was in a state of shock I beleive at that time and
I told her to go right ahead because he looked so beautiful. But a few days
later that started to bother me. Then a few weeks later when I was trying
to get back to "normal", we were visiting at their lake and she pulled out
those pictures. I was not at all prepared for that. Not only that, but
they were done in 5 X 7 sizes. I was so mad. I couldn't beleive that this
person had the nerve to even bring her camera with that night, when she
never even took a picture of him when he was alive. He was a beautiful
angel all dressed in white with a red rose beside him but the pictures
didn't do justice and this was definitely something better left in my
memory. I have the pictures somewhere, but I would much rather look at the
pictures of him when he was actually with us. It bothers me still that she
has copies. I don't hold this against my aunt, in fact if I would have
just said no then I don't think she would have taken them, but I wish she
would have never asked. So, it's not exactly the same but I can understand
how you feel.
