Pat,
I am on the trisomy 18 website with your daughter. I can tell you that she
is a very strong women. I read her story on there and I was heartbroken. My
son also passed during birth just a month and half ago on March 3, 2006, he
had trisomy 18.  Your daughter said God gave them signs during the delivery.
I too felt the same thing during my delivery.  We had to decide whether or
not to try and ressecutate our baby, but we felt God knew what was going on
and that fact that we had to induce early meant that we should just let our
baby Tyler go if he wasnt breathing.  Your daughter is truely an amazing
women.
There are times when I feel depressed. But the best thing you can do for
your daughter is be there.  My mother made us meals and just came over.  It
was nice.  Many people think you want to be left alone, or that you will
call if you need something.  THe truth is that we dont call if we need
something. It had been easier if people just do things.  We had friends and
family just take it apon themselves to arange to bring dinners each night.
That was the best thing. Then we also got to visit with friends each night.
