>but what a surprise, huh?.

on the day kira was born, daffodils bloomed at our house. on the day tyler
was born, it was poppies. i kept the one that bloomed when tyler was born.
when we bury tyler, soon, at our house we will be planting a tree and
putting his ashes in the ground so a part of him is always alive and
growing. we will be getting a magnolia because they have extraordinarily
beautiful blooms that are very short lived, like our son. when we were
trying to decide what to do in his memory we were pretty fixed on a tree,
but not positive. one day my husband opened a drawer and saw one of kira's
flash cards. the rest of them were where they usuually are-in her room.
the only one in the drawer had the letter "t" on one side and a tree on the
other. it felt the same as what you describe-a message. we are sticking
with the tree.

another wierd one-my father in law is terminally ill with cancer and is
going down hill rapidly. i asked kira why she would not sit with "boppy"
any more. she always used to sit on his lap. she told me there was an angel
sitting on his knee, a little boy with red hair and blue wings. i almost
fell over. she looked at me and said, "mommy its ok its tyler. don't cry.
he's old like julia ." julia is a friends daughter who is six. i just did
not know what to say. i would like to think she really sees her brother,
but it could be something she hears us talk about.

We have been wondering how to mark Sophies first birthday (24 May), I
thought I would plant a tree. I have been visiting several garden centres to
see what we could have. I went to a garden centre today and as I turned to
my left, I saw two trays of bluebells, not the cultivated variety, but
British native woodland bluebells!!! Needless to say, I bought them all. I
think Sophie was telling me that she doesn't want a tree, but bluebells
instead. I feel so close to her and I know she is still with me, leading me
on.
