Hi All,

Thank you for all the help, I forwarded all the emails to my friend 
Marilyn and she passed them on to the social worker helping the family. 
She emailed me last week and did say that they were going ahead with the 
surgery.  She will let me know if there is any more information and I 
will pass it on.

Gosh I was saddened to read your email.  I hope the family get the 
decision they need.  Presumably if the child is in a strong enough 
condition for surgery it should go ahead.  My thoughts will be with
