[tri-wings] Re: Mexico - the land for lushes

Was going on a trip okay or was it hard? My husband and I had talked a
little about doing that, but I felt too guilty planning something enjoyable.
I think I am still in that "guilt" phase of grieving. I was just wondering
if that ever went away. You know, the feeling where if you smile you feel
like you owe your baby an apology...

Grieving is a strange thing and it does strange things to us. For the first
few months after Louise died I didn't want David or Jen to leave my sight.
We all went away together and it was the best thing we could have done. The
guilt does eventually fade but you need to know that it wasn't your fault
and that you need to live and honour his short existence by surviving.
You are still very deep in grief, it is 13 years down the track for me and
even though I remember what you are feeling sometimes it feels like I am
telling someone else's story..........
